As they walk through the halls, Luann tells Bernice, "I don't get it! I did that report- and I handed it in! How could it just vanish?" Luann continues, "And you know what else? If I get an incomplete, my GPA will be too low and I won't get to go to the Sweetheart Dance!" Luann theorizes, "Wait! That's it! Mr. Fogarty's gonna lose all our reports so the dance will be canceled and he won't have to chaperone!" Sarcastically, Bernice yells, "You' re right! Quick! Head him off at the paper shredder!"
