Come on Nate. You’ll have 5 or 6 months to do that soon enough. Enjoy the warmth of the sun while you can.
Good Morning, Crew!

Exactly Fellow Baby! Nate get up and get out there! Don’t waste what’s left of this wonderful season. And Charley, why’d you have to go and say that to Nate, anyway?Good Morning Crew!

Record high temps and drought here in East Texas. I can relate, Nate. Every time my A/C kicks in, it gives a pathetic little moan. At the same time, my electric meter gives what I can only describe as a derisive chortle.

I can’t wait for the -20C weather (3 or 4 F) when I won’t sweat just sitting in my bedroom, when I can wear a t-shirt and pants and be comfortable. I could have sat in front of the TV naked last week, and still been sweating!!!

I don’t miss the -20C Canadian weather, an I never will. Doesn’t get below freezing all that often down here either. Always glad to get to mid-march down here. Things start warming up.

i love the changing seasons here in the not yet frozen North. i would get mighty bored if it was always sunny and 80F. though i can manage quite nicely without tornados, hurricanes and the like. fortunately, they are a rare occurrence.

How I miss the Overboard that was edgy, a little cynical and fun, rather than the bland, boring strip that now features talking animals, a dog that every “pirate” cares more about than plunder on the high seas and, in short, a whole lot of incomprehensibly and tiring “PC” folks.Chip had a great strip. As soon as he brought Louie on board, it went downhill. Maybe he was good for only a couple of years’ worth of funny ideas.Pity.

Perhaps Chip’s brain has been pirated? Or is that un-pirated?

They said the same thing when “Thimble Theater” decided to add a new character to the strip—-some guy called “Popeye the Sailor” . Thimble theater vanished from the face of the earth soon after.
