I enjoy the writing of Jan Karon. Worst? The first part of HAWAII; I had to tackle it twice because the lava heaving, etc. got to be a little much for me. I was always a fan of Poe too.
My taste in reading is as eclectic as my cartoons- I love the old scifi but just recently read Chaucer-have not finished complete works, though Canterbury was fine- longer works all on same topic not so much. Also stretching mind with books by Garcia Marques (since that film came out from one-did not see film but I liked the idea of reading an award-winning book in another language, and that I could!)

Alas Babylon is the best book I’ve ever read. Would totally recommend it.
