That looks like a little cash register around his neck. I guess it’s suppose to be a camera.

    G’mornin’ Crustwood crew —

Can’t imagine Burl and Joy wanting to go to Washington so it must be the Illinois Capitol.

Come to think of it, no reason they’d go THERE, either — unless it’s free doughnut day or something.

Or maybe admission is two for one on Tuesdays and they just couldn’t resist a bargain. In any case, I always suspected they didn’t know which end was up.Is the # sign supposed to be 2nd Find-It?BTW The camera is actually labelled, when you look at the magnified version.Too bad film for it was discontinued several years ago.Wait…… they are the Pennys. Probably bought the last 5 cases at Big Lots in 2007.Funny, GimmickG! Of course, they’re wanting to go the opposite way.And Gymshoe — look! You were right! She was saving it (almost) clean for their visit to the Capitol. Awww…

In re formatting discussion from yesterday —

it apparently takes two hyphens, one touching each end of the text you want to strike out

….. though why you’d want to strike out text is beyond me, just like why keyboards have a capslock key.

I pretty much just use the knowledge of either to avoid them.

But formatting on GoComics is erratic. What works one moment doesn’t always work the next, even within one post.

E.g. It won’t usually pick up empty lines between paragraphs, so I try to remember to add a few line breaks.

But in my last post, the spacing unaccountably worked, and my breaks made it double spaced.

I’m still trying to find a way to do underline.

They’re going up now, but you’d better hurry. They’ll be going down when you reach the top.

If Crustwood is a spin on Crestwood, Illinois, then this fact about the latter could tell us a lot about the Pennys:In April 2009 the Chicago Tribune reported that for 20 years the city [Crestwood, IL] had been drawing its drinking water from a well that was contaminated with toxic chemicals.

@Radish…. ..I…. I.. feel compelled to thank you, and I’m not sure why….. Did you say something?

    LOL

As for discussing or revealing Find-Its, at this point, there’s nobody angry that I know about.BlueWaves, who complained, is a forum friend, under a different name, from the “old site”, which I persist in calling Comics.com, a very nice….um….AFAIK…. guy… and a great writer of silly rhymes, which I also like to do, on other boards. He already apologised and said it was no big deal. Both of us prefer no reveals till later in the day or till somebody asks, that’s all, but neither of us expects to have it our way. We’re perfectly willing to bow to the majority, of course, unless I misspeak for you, K.Let’s all just be friends, cos Crustwood is such a lovely place to visit, with room for everybody. The Crusty Harbor motel is inexpensive, and very nice, except for having no ashtrays, and the towels and bedding being chained to the wall.Plus, I hear there are direct flights from the Crustwood Municipal Airport to Marg’s resort!
