I have no problem with the hair cut…..but the mention of cold and gray days of autumn just gave me a shiver running down my spine. Is this going to be the 21st straight day of temps over 100? Yay,

I hated the haircuts too — we got shaved to the skin to ward off non-existent head lice. Adding insult to injury Mom picked out the clothes too and if you didn’t look like a sissy or twenty years behind the times, you were VERY lucky. But yeah, the cold gray days of autumn were, and are, the WORST.

Wow… am I the only one who thinks that Autumn is glorious? It’s one of my favorite times of the year. But then, I’m not being cleaned up to get back to school, so…

Grog: Just 21? We have started over after 40 when the chain was broken with a 98. The record consecutive was 42! We are closing in on the total number of +100, being about ten short of that record. Both records were in 1980. Most of the other top 10 were in the late ’90s or early 21st century. Right now we are in second place for consecutive and third for total, but a day away from second there. Enjoy your cool.

i just loved STAPLES back to school ads “it’s the most wonderful time of the year” the looks on the faces of the two little snot lockers was just the best. no i don’t hate kids. w.c. fields said somthing about childern. “i love them,medium well.”

Panel 2 was me during my childhood around this time in August. I could never truly enjoy the last two weeks while knowing that another school year was around the corner.

I hate the heat and humidity of summer but I love the flowers and fresh produce. :D
