Surfers can ride ocean waves up tidal bores, where the tide moves up a narrow river, for miles at a time! In an era of machine guns and tanks, Italy's Savoia Cavalry Regiment led the last horse Caverly charge against Soviet troops at Izbushensky on the Don River in 1942! The inventor of the smiley face logo received only $45 for his work!

…And the Savoia Cavalry Regiment was promptly decimated, just like every OTHER Italian engagement during the Second World War.

Hmmm…looked it up on Wikipedia, and that cavalry charge didn’t take place against Soviet troops, but rather Yugoslavian partisans near Poloj in Croatia.

$46 bucks? That’s chump change for Forrest Gump. ; ) ( and yes, I’m joking )
As for the Italians in/just before WW2, the Ethiopian infantry defeated their tank charges by walking up and flipping the tanks on their side.
