Rabbit: hey, I know! Lets play tennis or baseball with ether while we eat his!
Rabbit2: cool.
CC: hey charley, did they eat the store bought tomatoes and leave yours alone?
Charley: No, they did not.
tennis or baseball is about all a storebought tomato is good for. there certainly isn’t much taste to them. probably why a burger with tomato on it still needs ketchup as well.ahoy Crew!
Well, burgers are much better with mustard and pickle anyway, Charlie. Besides, the tomatoes, store-bought or not, will taste like cardboard with the lack of rain.
Okay, I try not to hurt any living creature, but those rabbits have had it now, eating those garden tomatoes, Where’s the shotgun? Get them Charley, they deserve it!
Re: store bought tomatoes. I have found a brand that is VERY good for winter tomatoes bought in the grocery store. The brand is Sunset Campari. Don’t know where all they are available, but they are quite good. Not like fresh out of your garden, but they have a great taste.www.camparitomatoes.com
Mass production and machine harvesting have ruined most of the store bought. My oiwn are better and you can find some roadside stands with tasty ones. I’ll look up your brand, dry. Sounds like it’s worth a try.I have reports those little growing stations do okay in the winter, but haven’t tried them yet.
Note: Scratch would have killed the rabbits. Get a beagle or basset to keep Louie company and you won’t have the rabbits around either.
