I tried to get squirrels to bungee jump one time, when one could get those big rubber bands for garbage cans. Would hook several bands together, hang from a tree limb, and then put an ear of corn at the end, about 4 ft. over the porch roof.
Expected them to jump up and bounce around. However, I never saw any jumpers – but the corn kept disappearing. Finally, one day I looked up at the limb and there was a squirrel pulling the corn up paw over paw while sitting comfortably on the limb. (If humans had as much intelligence per cc of brain cells as a squirrel, a man with an IQ of 500 would be considered a retard!)
