Bread is the best for that. Milk is a half-step down as a helper, but still a goodie. Water / ice will spread the misery.

Sounds like you got a Thai pepper, rated as three to five times “hotter” than Tabasco or Cayenne peppers.
There used to be a place here where you can order Kung Pao chicken, pork , beef or shrimp made with Habanero peppers instead, rated 5 to 7 times hotter than Tabasco.
