When my youngest was three, we made a cross-country trip to visit family; three kids, their dad, me, and my father-in-law. Somewhere in Wyoming my daughter made up a song about cows. “Black and white and brown, black and white and brown, ohh, ohh, black and white and brown…”
She proceeded to sing this, almost without interruption, for the next 600 miles. Her grandpa was really annoyed, but I pointed out to him that a) she was three, b) she was not crying, and c) she was in fact commenting on the scenery.
He stopped complaining, she kept singing happily. And for 21 years now I’ve gotten mileage out of that story. :-)

As long as the netters aren’t coming for you Adam. I didn’t have anything under my bed as a kid, ’cept dust bunnies. The monsters lived in the closet.

It’s just a song, Adam, there’s no need for nets.
