Well Heart, Abe Lincoln just might be protesting with Dean if he preferred the original Star Wars trilogy.

Abe has his own problems. If rumors have it right, ABE LINCOLN VAMPIRE HUNTER, er, um, is gonna suck. . ..

Han Solo shot first. And when George change that, it took away from the redemption story of Han Solo. In Star Wars Han was all about himself. In Empire Han was sitting on the fence. And in Jedi Han was all in.

Keep at it Dean… we hear ya. Even if Lucas doesn’t even know you exist.

And now that I’ve looked more into that aspect, that does make more sense. I think I saw the original on video when I was too young to understand it (or just didn’t notice/hear the context)… knowing that him shooting first was a point in making him morally ambiguous makes it more of a point that I can see they really calmed that down in the 90s “remake” including the extra scene with Jabba.

In the lobby at the Lucasarts facility in the Presidio in San Francisco there’s an Ewok wearing a button that says, “Han shot first.”
