Love this strip! Shame on the Phila Daily News for not having it in the paper anymore. I refuse to buy it until they put it back in. My personal boycott of this maybe won’t do the job, but at lease I feel a bit better.

She looks pretty good for – what, 75 or 80?

Hey! There’s probably an original drawing by Ernie Bushmiller up in the attic that’s getting older and uglier all the time. All her Grey hairs end up there. Wouldn’t that be Wilde?

Nancy has to rely on her computer to help her with math.

Math is math. It is a constant. Math has not changed. What has changed is methods and terminology. The letter I received explaining this from the school suggested that we not worry about the method used to arive at the same answer. And I believed that to be true until my daughter was having trouble with her math. I majored in math in school. Love math. I can visually see numbers in the air when I am doing it. I couldn’t help her. I did not understand the terms being used. I had to refer her back to her teacher for additional assistance. I guess the powers that be have to keep "improving things’ to justify their existance.
