most “American football players” don’t kick, so my guess is that Tarzan thinks Capt Bilski meant soccer?

Bilski’s got a story to tell the grandkids.

Even though i dont like sports, i can still relate to todays cartoon. I like the idea of the 50’s college generation playing footbal. But im no wimp, i can run 12 miles at high texas noon in the summer. A task i built up to from reading comics when tarzan ran across the sahara nonstop for three days.Besides, ive always been a science fan and if lex luthor was real, id say he should be president of the USA!

Hey, too bad we dont live close by each other, we could make a club of geniouses for the advancement of humankind!No, katman, i dont take meds.

No shirt as usual for Tarzan—it’s ironic that Johnny Weissmuller modeled arrow shirts and swim suits in the 1920s.

I think Tarzan either alluded to the kickoff in football or to the fact that, one way or another, football players need strong legs.

um…Lex Luthor WAS President of the USA….

I know, he did an awesome job too!

You can add another name to the growing list of real men who don’t like sports! Except for the Super Bowl, Olympics, and World Series I couldn’t care less about them.That being said, let’s cut the small talk and “love” session and get on to the next Tarzan adventure——couples counseling for Years and Naomi—helping Bilski find his “inner self”? The dialog in the strip doesn’t make any sense today. Maybe because they couldn’t hear each other with the great noise and vibration of the motor.
