The beauty is Rover is “self-appointed”!

    He’s a SELF APPOINTER!

What fun would the faithful family dog be if he couldn"t bring the crazy to those self-appointed duties!

That’lls work until you get a windy day, Rover. Good luck then trying to keep the leaves in a neat little pile.

Studies show that a short break for a wild and crazy gallop will improve diligence, responsibility, and focus… I’m sure Rover read that.

Reminds me of my long lost Beagle. She would race around the yard like that just for the joy of it. She was a rescue dog. Had been raised in a 3′ × 2′ kennel from puppyhood. It took me almost 2 weeks to get her to come out of the house and into the yard. Once she decided that BIG grassy, fenced in world (3/4 acre) was okay she reveled in it.

Even so – all dogs have the right to goof off.

My ol’ dog used to rip around like that, and every so often head straight at me. Part of the fun was, i couldn’t dodge, because I never knew which side he was going to pass on. Then one day the inevitable happened… I know how bowling pins feel!
