We did this exact thing last year. It was a hoot. We think they need fantasy camp National Anthem singers, field groomers, announcers. The players signed autographs like they were Babe Ruth and we cheered them on as if it were the World Series. You don’t think there’s something wrong with that do you? :-)
Weekend news actually has a segment for “Fantasy Football”. That makes me very glad that I can watch live TV on at least 20 minutes of delay (to FF through not just commercials but also features I find useless). Like Susan, I generally ignore sports unless local teams give some bragging rights (and I’d still never sit still for a whole game). I have many interests that I find interesting (always try to catch news of medical advances, gardening tips and any hard local news) but morning news shows are 3-4 hours to fill and they read the news too rapidly very often (so I replay it), other banter etc is fun, cooking segments are way to simplistic (I get what I want on Food and Cooking channels plus recipe or ingredient finds on the net). I believe AND HOPE that Guy and Rodd are making fun of those football games played by office workers. This strip is one of my favs!

My fantasy used to be summer camp without sports.

Ha, good point. Maybe I’l just slide a bit to my left and avoid a brawl… unless it’s cheap beer night. If that’s the case BRING IT ON FOAM BOY!
