Never mention the W word in earshot of a dog.
Ours knows so many euphemisms for ‘walk’ now its getting hard to communicate without setting off barking barrage. Lots of non-verbal cues do it too – I’m sure if we take to discussing walks via written notes he’ll pick up on that soon enough!

Can’t you just spell “walkies”? That works for us, along with r-i-d-e, t-r-e-a-t, b-a-l-l, k-o-n-g, and f-o-o-d.
