My wife would have a conniption fit if I tried to wear pants in such condition when we were going out.

Considering the blasted, torn, distressed things kids call pants today, you’ll make them all look bad if you go out in those…

It’s okay. She had more paint on hers than I had on mine. What’s with women and wanting to paint the inside of the house every few years. Or painting one wall in the hall light yellow and the other side light green? Geeez. I get tired of all white.

My dad would have refused to wear jeans to going out. even to a burger joint. to him, you wore slacks with a button up shirt if you were male. dresses if female. he grew up in the 1930s when you wore to impress back then.

What you do is find a magic marker that’s navy blue…cover those spots right up!

The first time the temps consistently stay above 50 degrees, the shorts comes out and the long pants or jeans don’t reappear again until about the first of November! When you’re retired, single and don’t go anywhere fancy, you can do that!

If you’re going to a greasy spoon diner, who cares?
