Lost my keys once when I dropped them getting off an elevator, and they disappeared down the gap. Eventually got them back from the bottom of the shaft, but it wasn’t easy, or cheap.
After my first kid, I noticed I was losing an incredible amount of stuff, forks, spoons, the remote, etc. One day I couldn’t find my keys. I looked everywhere. Hubby was taking out the trash and we heard a jingle. Found my keys,and 2 spoons.
I also lost many spoons of the sterling place settings we got as wedding gifts. I later figured either a greedy friend/relative took them, or mine or visiting kid put in trash (those people used a lot of disposable).
