Petey: Mom! Here's my Halloween costume for this year! Mom: Oh! It's a... Petey: It's a BLANK SHEET of PAPER - the most terrifying thing in the world to anyone who writes or draws! This Halloween, while I trick-or-treat I'll be making a scathing commentary on creativity and its losing war against the void! Should I stick the paper on my shirt or just wave it in people's faces? Mom: Take a stack of paper and pass it out. That'd be scarier.

Any joke that you have to explain shouldn’t have been told in the first place. Just put action figures of Hemingway, Tolstoy, Rowling and Vonnegut into a cube and go with that on your head.
