I vaguely remember a happy hour at the Kon Tiki like that. A few double scorpions later I had to go to my bowling league. The first 10 frames were pretty much in the gutter. But it was followed by one of my best AND capped with an average game as the effect began to wear off. I remember darts nights like that too. But the shooters between games only worked up to a point.
Has anyone ever noticed that Scotland has given the world three of the stupidest sports ever – golf, curling and throwing a telephone pole tossing the caber.

The Scotch invented golf, which, perhaps, is why they invented scotch.

I’d rather just putter around. Besides that, none of my clothes are ugly enough for golf.

A visit to the nineteenth hole can make the others in your foursome more bearable for the other 18.

Remember that the people who invented golf and called it a game also invented bagpipes and called it music.

This should have a recognition of the source of this quote, which is a notable professional golfer of significant stature.
