As they are hugging, Ruth mom's wipes her own tears away and asks Ruth, "Are you ok, Sweetie?" Ruth answers, "I think so.." They let go of each other. Ruth says, "In fact, a lot makes sense now- Daddy had a girlfriend!" Ruth tells her mom, "You should have said something before!" Her mom's response is, "Maybe. Whatever I did was to protect you." Ruth asks her mom, "Is she pretty?" Her mom replies, "You're a straight A student. What do you think?"
