Arlo asks Gene, "What did you get Ruth for Valentine's Day?" Gene angrily replies, "Candy." Arlo asks, "What kind?" Gene replies, "Chocolate caramel, if you must know." Arlo nags, "Oh, no-- Chocolate -covered cherries are the way to go." Gene exclaims, "Yeah, well-- She likes caramel!" Arlo walks off and thinks, "What can you do when they just won't listen?"
