I distinctly remember that once on the Muppet Show, Fozzie Bear tried to do a ventriloquist act, so even Fleshy’s original concept isn’t new.

The ever-smaller puppets remind me of what has been said about fleas: “Great fleas have little fleas upon their backs to bite ’em, And little fleas have lesser fleas, and so ad infinitum.” Surprisingly, Fleshy is quite flea resistant… they have no place to hide! ;-)
