Brought ol’ dad to tears. I’m on Clayton’s side, since I grew up with a beagle and have little Muttley Beagle now to do all those things with and for me.

Adam, all kids want a pet to bond with sooner or later. Clayton is just being an insensitive jerk about it.
Which makes it funny and sad at the same time.
