As more research has indicated what kind of monumental hypocrite and outright bastard Jefferson was, I think we ought to strip Jefferson out of his memorial and put in one for John Adams. He’d get along with MLK a lot better. And it is interesting to see the right-wingers struggling to explain how the poor, dominant white man is being oppressed by supports designed to provide a level playing field for those who are still at a disadvantage.Bet they loved The Bell Curve, too.

Or college entrant requirements where being black gives you extra points.

Or the scholarships given out by the NAACP, where being black is the first requirement. ANd if you’re not ‘black enough’, you don’t qualify.
