We set off the smoke detector with my Dad’s cake once. After that, we switched to the candles shaped like numbers.

Mom turned 99 in August, we went for a cake shaped like the numbers and a single candle on each half. All those wheelchairs in the “activity room” would have led to great complications at the doors had we torched off that many candles.
I don’t think they’d put 100 candles on a cake! That would cause a fire!
Ha—good one..Although, as I always say, having a birthday always beats the alternative.
