Coming Soon đ At the beginning of April, youâll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
As a protocol on the post, would you please not announce the âfind-itâ so early, so those of us who come later can enjoy the thrill of the hunt? Thanks.
Iâm glad Burl doesnât stick his gum under the chairâor on the bedpost overnight. His only slight failing is that he pollutes the world by dumping oil into the waterways. Iâll bet Marg and Leaky appreciate that down South in the Big Easy. Ugh.
Glad to see Joy had fun at the Pyrex partyâŠ. I think there must have been a Pyrex party, anyway.
Cos I donât think she sent in $2.50 and 5 proofs of purchaseâŠ.. by the time stuff gets to Big Lots, promotions on the packages are usually expired.
And if she didnât post a reminder to dump the oil, Burl might forget and recycle it â what if it costs a quarter or something?
Sheâs never gotten over having to pay $5 to throw away her old stove in 1994.
Oh Marg, itâs positively heartwarming to know that you and Leaky are both willing to drive across the better part of four states every few days, just to bail each other out.
Not many (sniffle) friendships like that to be found.
And Mikie â umâŠ.. do I want to know why you know the menu so well?
People who post the find-it donât seem to come back to read the comments afterward â or even look at them beforehand, since Bigg did it right after you asked, and in spite of Minaâs post.
I guess it used to be the custom here, before TDS moved to comics.com, for it to be like a contest.
I think itâs very nice, now that weâre all on GoComics together, that the regulars here have mostly gone along with our pleas to let the latecomers hunt tooâŠ
This is the first time I remember seeing seat of a chair, and I thought those were spindles, but as there would be none on a seat that must be a fabric design, so it IS REALLY ugly. And she has âgoodâ Tupperware? We all know they have no consideration for others, so the oil should be no surprise (except Iâd think it would go in a neighborâs gutter).
Iâd like to thank the colorist for clarifying the shape of the gum wad. I was afraid that Joy had joined the six-fingered denizens of Crustwood. (Ma and Jerryâbut whoâs counting?)
The PENNY furnitureâŠ. must look worn out⊠along the cushionsâŠ. from all the hopefull probingâŠâŠ! ! ! Can either one pass a vending machineâŠ. or pay phoneâŠ. without checkingâŠ. ? ? ?
Hi everybody! Last night I started nodding off while I was just reading my email, so I never made it to GoComics. Spending all my break time cathcing up today.
I know it wasnât Burl who left the gum in the chair. He would have left it on top of the seat.
I think that Minianimial and bigpieceofpumpkinpie are the same ones that use to circle all the hidden pictures in the Highlight for Children magazines at the doctorâs office. That use to irritate me, but I digress.
Okay they are probably also the sort that would stick their gum under furniture.
When I was eight or nine I would save my gum on a plate at dinner or on the nightstand at night and retrieve it later. One night I slept on my grandmotherâs couch and left my gum on her end table.
When I woke up the next morning her dog (a Chihuahua) was laying on my stomach stretching my gum between her teeth and claws. I was upset that she got my gum and at the same time laughing how funny she looked stretching the gum like a kid. Grandma wasnât too thrilled about the gum on the blanket.
See ya all! Tomorow I may have time to tell more detailed story. Meanwhile everyone have a good day/evening.
If you donât want to see the answer to the âfind itââŠlook at the comic, find the âfind itâ THEN read the comments. If youâre stuck and cannot see the âfind itââ-the helpful people in the comments section will tell you where it is. Some people make a game out of being the first person to post where the âfind itâ is. I always look first, then, if Iâm stuck and canât see it, I rely on the kindness of the first person posting about it to âgetâ it.
A real favour, folks. Please remember Lt John R Chapman, USN, whose life was taken from him in the service of our country on April 3, 1967 in Quang Tri Province, (South) Vietnam. I was just looking at the wall rubbing and remembering him. He will always be young and handsome while I get old.
@Purple sky, thanks. I thought of plastic (chrome legs and all) but those were very rounded and puffy-while these chairs are so flat that they can only be fabric with very poor padding.
@vldazzle â you could be right about that chair fabric, but Iâve seen some pretty cheap vinyl upholstery that had very thin padding, too, and that pattern⊠well, Iâve seen patterns very similar to that on vinyl sets at the thrift store. The Pennysâ chairs always make me think of shopping at the AmVets Thrift Shop! LOL! I go there a lot for finding broken jewelry and cast-off satin or velvet dresses for my crafts, and thereâs this one set thatâs been there just about forEVER, and itâs even the same colours as the Pennysâ set. Cracks me up every time!

Then, it must be Jerry, UGH! Mom has tried hard to get her gum to stick, but Freedent just doesnât go that way.
Leaky was stopped on his way home tonight, and I donât have enough cash to post his bailâŠ

The âgood tupperwareâ? I guess that means the âeveryday tupperwareâ is Cool Whip containers?
As for the chair seats, I donât know if thatâs fabric, vldazzle, Iâm thinking itâs vinyl â maybe a retro âdinette setâ? (pun intended!)

I notice when the find it is easy then they post it right away, when itâs hard no one posts it.
