In some strips this would be taken as an allegorical comment on some of the “friends” that the U.S. has helped launch. But, for Lio, it is a funny idea (in both senses of “funny” — humorous and weird).

Don’t worry, Lio; there’s nothing written on that paper, so it’s shooting blanks.

That’s Lio, paper plane fighter, Gaddaffy. He’s already been taken care of!

Proof – if it were needed – that Lio is an American. First release the toys, then be stunned by the consequences.

Sheesh, can’t Lio even fly a paper airplane without something weird happening to him?
NE1956 about 13 years ago
Wow, that’s weird. This is exactly why I stopped making paper planes. Lio seems to be learning his lesson the way I did. Serious deja vu.

It’s said we must be careful what we write on paper. With Lio’s bad luck, he has to be careful flying paper airplanes.

The Army spends millions on drones, and Lio can make them for a cent each! Pretty good profit margin there!!!

This was the best Lio all week (so far….) I wish Lio would have more continued storylines: I can think of several paper air plane and paper AA jokes.

i like the modern dadaist in mr. tatulli. every strip is usually an exercise in totally random, but 9 times out of 10, it works.
