I’m still more than a little mad a NetFlix for getting rid of the one DVD and streaming plan.

@johnzakourThat is what my plan is now. One dvd and streaming. Although they very kindly sent me 2 recently. Maybe they felt pity for me, the films are Attack of The 50 Foot Woman (remake), and a look at Attack of the 50 Foot Monstor hosted by Elvira.

Somehow I never became interested in Netflix. I rent from iTunes once in a while, to watch on the laptop. But usually I want to own the movies I like. But I’m pretty selective with movies. I love a good movie, but there are so many any given year I have no interest in seeing.

The reason I I like Netflix, iTunes, etc, is that they are cheaper than going to the movies. Sometimes I find that the I hate the movie and am glad that I didn’t waste the money and time going to the movies.

If it weren’t for NetFlix, I would never turn on the TV. I hate commercials and rarely listen to radio. We tend to watch a lot of foreign movies because my wife is going deaf and we like subtitles. The video quality of streamed movies is not as good as that from a DVD. I hate it when the image slows down to a jerky 12 frames a second (like some cheap cartoon), when there is too much information in a panned background scene. Also streamed movies don’t give you the option to turn on subtitles like a DVD.

Yes, mostly I like DVD’s. WhenI was living alone, I didn’t even have cable and never watched broadcast TV. Now that I’m living with my girlfriend and her two kids, it’s a bit of an adjustment to be in a house where TV is a regular thing. ANd it’s gotten worse in my absence!!!

Looks like he could be watching Lord of the Rings. I still have Netflix no streaming & my price actually dropped a couple bucks

Yep. It was the scene where Gandalf goes to see Sauruman, but Sauruman got cut off.

Love my Netflix. Certainly better than all the garbage offered on regular tv. Plus the long commercials we have to suffer through. We only have Netflix streaming ..not the dvd dellivered. If I want a particular I will buy it at the store.
