luann: you know what dad does that bugs me? when i'm talking and he gets that glazed look like he's not really listening mom: yes. or he acts like he's listening, but later you realize he didn't hear a word you said. luann: right. or i'll ask his opinion on somethin' and he'll say "i don't care" mom: or i'll want to discuss a problem and he'll say, "I don't want to talk about this right now" luann: have you ever asked dad why he's so bad at communicating? mom: sure. but he didn't listen, he didn't care and he didn't want to talk about it.
