Didn’t Nate say in “In a Class by Himself” that he never got summer school?

Summer School. What a bummer. I went there once, and it was TRASH. COMPLETE. TRASH. I had to work 24/7. I never slept for like 4 months! I am glad I am at Purdue now.

I’ve been to summer school twice so far.

I’ve gotta be honest – the whole “summer school” plotline – no, the fact that Nate is forced into summer school in the first place – is downright hilarious. I’ve noticed that this strip series rarely has you sympathize with Nate; instead, you laugh at him because you know he deserves the penalties.

Prepare for trouble, you’re in school this summer. And make it double, Nate: you couldn’t be dumber!

To be stuck in a classroom all summer long.To be punished for answering questions wrong. While all of your friends are outside having fun…You’re still in school until summer is done!

    Sorry, Nate!

This summer you’ll get your assignments complete. You’ll finish them now, so don’t miss a beat! Now! Take your seat!
