While Nate’s dad is correct, he should let Nate vent. There’s nothing worse then being told exactly why you shouldn’t be mad at something/someone when you’re venting.

It’s sad that I have to agree with mrs Godfrey, but she’s right. He was lazy, didn’t do his work, didn’t at least try his best, made lame excuses and blamed everyone but himself.
