People talk about elementary school kids like they’re the epitome of unruliness, but have you ever tried to keep your sanity in the hallway or a pep rally in middle/high school?
At my school, we have this new “one way” hallway system to help us pretend to be maintaining distance. It was kind of confusing at first, and kids and teachers won’t stop complaining, but I’ve noticed it a certain orderliness it provides. With thinner crowds, one way traffic, and people actually having to move their butts through the hallway instead of forming clots and just STANDING THERE impeding everyone else’s progress, it’s actually pretty effective. They gave us five extra minutes between classes so we’d have enough time, but I’ve been able to get between classes in less than the original time allotted, which is saying something because before I was always the last person to get to class. Anyway, hallways in school: not fun!
