Big Nate by Lincoln Peirce for November 29, 2001
Transcript:
"Very nice, Mr. Staples. Word is you're slapping a surprise test on us today." "Surprise test??" "Nate, we've been reviewing for this test for two weeks!" "We have?" "Yes! What do you think we were doing?" "I just assumed it was more useless busywork!" "I don't mind the 'useless busywork' so much as I mind the 'more'." "If it's stuff we actually have to remember, you should tell us that!"

well, you have to agree with Nate. math really IS useless and we’re probably not gonna use it in our later life, like algebra, linear equations, doing addition subtraction multiplication and division of large no. even though we have a thing called a calculator. the only one not useless is of charts as they will help us to prepare presentations for our future jobs

To be fair, a huge percentage of what we do in school is mindless busywork, but Nates an idiot for not paying attention
