Mrs. Godfrey is a a terrible teacher. The only reason she gave him that many detentions was because she was harmed. Just like the time Nate accidentally hit her with a rubber band. There are plenty of other examples of this, and plenty of other reasons why Mrs. Godfrey is a bad teacher.
