Nate: Twenty seconds left, we're down by one, and I have the ball! The outcome of this game is up to me! I could pass it to Stan but he's my main competition for playing time! Why should I make him look good? Then there's Rusty, the most annoying kid in sixth grade! Like I'm really gonna give him the ball! Dan's open but he's the worst shooter of all time! He couldn't hit the ocean if he was standing on the beach! And am I gonna give up the ball to TJ the jerk who's going out with the girl of my dreams? I don't thinks so! I know! I'll just shoot myself... SWAT! Nate: ...in the foot.

Basketball’s a 5-man game, and Nate named the other 4 members as males. Ergo, there is no girl on Nate’s team, at least not on the court during this comic.
