I think it’s an insult to assign homework over Christmas vacation.

yep, i got 3 essays to write, one research to do and an exam for the 3rd of January to study for.

I’ve read Gulliver’s Travels…I hope they gave him the expurgated kiddies’ version that doesn’t have the Houhynhms in it…too explicit for 1964.

Why do today what you can so easily put off until tomorrow?

Television.

Nothing is wrong with you, Charlie Brown. First, you’re normal. Most of us don’t want to work on a vacation. Second, no one should give us work on a vacation… especially if THEY are going to be doing nothing but relaxing and enjoying the break. (Now, summer break may be an exception both because it’s a longer break, and because most teachers take classes or training of some sort and plan for the coming year during that time.) Kids need a break every now and then, too!

I never like pressure. I got my homework done first, then wasted the rest of my vacation in front of the TV.

Isn’t Charlie Brown supposed to be in 2nd Grade or thereabouts?

I didn’t read Gulliver’s Travels until 12th Grade!

Why can’t Charlie Brown be reading The Boxcar Children, or something more suited for 7-year-olds. I read a lot when I was 7 and enjoyed Mr. Cat’s Surprise and stories like that. Charlie Brown needs lessons in motivation,too.

Gulliver’s Travels is a movie, too. Watch and learn.

Man, do I know that feeling all too well…

My daughters had Christmas vacation homework…it wasn’t much and they finished it after school the last day but I didn’t think it was fair.
