If I start writing now, when Iâm not really restedIt could upset my thinking, which is not good at allIâll get a fresh start tomorrow, and itâs not due âtil WednesdaySo Iâll have all of Tuesday, unless something should happen.
Why does this always happen? I should be outside playingGetting fresh air and sunshine; I work best under pressure.
(From âYouâre a good man, Charlie Brownâ, the musical.)
Hey, I know itâs just a comic, but I find this one sad because itâs clear that Charlie Brownâs parents show no interest in his school work. Heâs totally on his own. IMO, itâs vital that a parent check and/or correct a childâs homework every day. Not because the parent canât trust the child but because it provides guidance and shows interest and involvement in the childâs education. Doing this or not doing this will change the course of the childâs entire life. Off soapbox!
