Ok. This guy SERIOUSLY looks like Calvin from Calvin & Hobbes. The last panel convinced me.

In my schools in the 1950’s an adult would have been using the ‘commanding voice’ to shut it down before the second eraser got thrown. We wouldn’t have thrown any anyway because we were “good little kids”. (Thoroughly browbeaten). A food fight would have gotten us kicked out for a week or two.
