"So who's our new state representative?" "Breit McRae." "Good. He was the better-looking one." "Isn't that maybe a wee bit shallow?" "Well, excuse me." "A snickers bar says you voted for him because you saw him at the Lyle Lovett concert." "Uh, no bet."

Still a better reason than using appearance as a basis.

mdsock…..I don’t know if I agree or not. Many years ago, I managed a restaurant and a young lady applied for a job as a waitress. A beautiful young lady. As I looked at her application, I saw that she had never held a job for more than 3 months at a time. I needed help and good help was hard to come by. I told her that her application gave me no reason to hire her. She tried to convince me that she would be a good hire. So, I told her that I was going to do something that I had never done before. I was going to hire her base purely on her looks. I told her that I would never hit on her, but people like being around good-looking people, men or women. Two years later, when I got promoted and had to move to another state, she was still there. And did a fantastic job, I might add. One of my best waitresses! And she made great tips, especially from the men! Once she passed 3 months on the job, she made mention every month that she was still there. She was also one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. I set her up on a date with the man that she eventually married.
