Coming Soon š At the beginning of April, youāll be
introduced to a brand-new GoComics! See more information here. Subscribers, check your
email for more details.
Dunce cap is in a perfect spot. Joy and Verla are just SO busy! I donāt know how they have time to dine out and collect all those free toothpicks and mints, nor stuff their purses with dinner rolls and butter pats.
Joy is the only one with no job, but Iām sure sheād say sheās the busiest.
You guys donāt seem to realise that taking care of Baby Burl is a lot of work.
She has to be mother, nurse, cook, housekeeper, co-conspirator, adoring fan and maybe even sometimesā¦ umā¦. wifeā¦ though not quite so much since they turned 50 (cough).
The Find-It says āDunceā, not āDunce Capā, so a case could be made for there being four in the picture today.
Glad to see you here Marg ā keep the foot up, though ā and Leaky too.
Sounded like Mikie had good news yesterday too.
Crustwood is on the mend!
Iāll still keep the superglue handy.
BTW Dave was right ā I fell asleep in my chair last night before I got to Crustwood.
Getting older isnāt all itās cracked up to be ā then again, as they say, it beats the alternative!
I wonder what sort of craft is needed to make āPot Purrie?ā Probably a different aroma from the ones that assail you at every craft store now. More likely to put me more into a āHo Ho Hoāsā mood. Hereās a scary thought for the holidays, either Joy or Verlāor Burl!āin crafty stretch denims! Oh the horror! (With apologies to Herbert Morrison, any one of them would look like the Hindenberg in stretch pants.)
Good morning everyone. Itās good to be here. Marg, you keep your foot elevated (and exercised and iced) to lessen edema and permanent damage to both the venous and lymphatic systems in your leg. Both can cause ongoing pain and produce clots. Itās a loaded gun pointed right at you.
Good to see Marge back. Long time crafters and scouters have a reason to resent Martha Stewart (who has a large staff thinking up all āherā ideas). However, like the Pennys, I admit to feeling ever more busy now that I no longer work. My TiVo constantly finding me more to watch on TV helps make me ābusyā, but when I had full time work I could always find time for those projects, but would never ācopyā any ā had to find an improvement!
Only Holiday decor I see there is a bow on the photos. They should hang a wreth on the clown painting. At home Iām pretty lazy too, but I have 4 lighted displays scattered around the house and may pick some pine branches for the smell and decorate them with some oranges and pirocanthia for color.
Letās hope this bunch doesnāt do the craft stretch denims. The spangles, rivets and metal studs would act like shrapnel if they had to bend over in public for some reason (like gowing to the lower shelves at the Dollar Dump).
With magnification it looks more like a vase of flowers and I see the āpot purrieā topiarry in a pot, and Joy shops at a sewing store ā REALLY??Oh, thatās like Burls shirts from Goldās Gym;-P
This one should have my name on it! Our neighbors were stringing up Christmas lights and decorations yesterday. I told my wife, āI wish that is all I had to doā, (while sitting on my porch sipping a cold beer.)
Tried to take your advice, Sunshine. I put both my feet up in sympathy for Marg.
My boss came and told me to get off my a$$ and get back to work. Guess he donāt care about Marg. Just terrible. I care Marg. When I get home I will put my feet up in sympahty. Make sure you back me up when I tell my wife why I canāt help around the house.
@LS, I also worked hard all my life, but had a husband who wanted me to stay home and manage the house and 4 kids on his meager salary. He was also abusive and objected to my volunteer work in scouting and PTA. I only started āworkingā after I divorced him and went from being a drafter to a self taught engineer/designer and programming AutoCAD.

Leaky ā umā¦. cos my sentence structure crumbled?
Or maybe justā¦. in sympathy with Marg we should all put our feet up.
Sounds like a plan I could live with.
And youāre right ā but just in case the alternative doesnāt turn out to be better, Iāll stick around here for a while. Why rush, anyway?

When youāre in jail, you have lots of time to think about stuff.

Seems to me like the Pennyās sit around thinking of ways to avoid work rather than actually doing any.
