Getting a second opinion is always a good idea for most things Zig. In difficult cases, such as your own, some specialist appreciate the chance to discuss the situation with another expert. But knowing you like I do. I tend to agree with the doc on this one. Chances are it would be WORSE for you.
The opinion’s not as bad as the prescription- that stuff can kill ya! Just listen to the disclaimers in the TV ads, and check out the number of ambulance-chasing lawyer ads.
