Jerry’s been busy cleaning the hair out of his shower drain. It’s taken him a week so far…

    Good morning, Crustwoodians

Leaky is a bit under the weather, so he may not put in an appearance.

There’s low self esteem, and then there’s no self esteem.Kinda sad, almost pathetic.

    Morning, All!

Strangely enough, Marg, my roof is a bit leaky under the weather…………..

    Coincidence? Yeah, probably.

But Jerry’s shower drain is not a topic for the breakfast table, young lady….

it’s something so hideous that even he shouldn’t discuss it outside the privacy of his own home.

Yeah, Verl, you showed him.You showed him that you have neither self-esteem nor backbone……

Ooops, got distracted….. and now OddBall has posted that too. It IS sad, isn’t it.

But at least we’ve seen her show an interest in other men (just like Jerry does, Burl would say.)

    ….. I guess nothing happened with the handyman…. sigh….

Looks like the chair finials are back….. except for the one Ma just poked Verl with. That woman just oozes maternal comfort.

I dunno whether Joy is more shocked by her sister’s pathetic message or her mother’s sarcasm — but at least she reacted.

Hey this is the first time I can recall the Find-It staying in place from Panel 1 to Panel 2.

    And Happy Birthday Dave!

“You’re practically a kid!” still stands. Remember, I get all those senior discounts…..

And as I said to GymShoe… in California we need ’em.

I’ve never heard of “Audi’s” — I’m thinking your wife isn’t buying discount cars.

And sorry, Dazz, I’ve never read the comic you mentioned last night….

Thanks for the Birthday greeting, Sunshine. I am glad you think I am a kid, my kids think I am ancient.

Notice the Pro on my comments. I gave myself a B-day present and resubscribed.

Okay the store is Aldi’s, it was almost 12:30 and I was sleepy.

My wife is three years older than me. Sometimes she tends to forget that, to which I am more than happy to remind – lol. Okay, I guess the is a Burl thing.

But I only do it when she starts it. One time she made a reference to me being old and I quipped back, “Yeah, it’s true. I did watch the last dinosaur die. But I understand that YOU helped him out of his egg!”

Getting back to today’s comic, it is funny in a sad way. I say that, because I have seen women who are treated poorly by a guy and they are clueless and just keep on enabling. What really makes it sad is Jerry’s actions here are mild to what I have seen. Of course it always comes down to one of two statements, “Well, you don’t realize, he can be sweet.” Or the infamous, "But I love him.

I hope everyone has a good day and gets treated the way you deserve by your significant other. If you’re not, I hope it is nothing worse than them dissing your party.

I am going with my wife to* IHOP*, I get a free breakfast, but I promise to leave the napkin dispenser there. When I get home I am going to play with the Nook I got from my loving, older wife.

We do tease each other, I am not as mean as I sound. But it’s okay because i can be sweet and of course she loves me.

“Make Divinity”? She’s either into idol-worship, or she’s running for goddess.

Home Quarters had a universal returns policy, too. after a major hurricane swept the east coast a decade ago, thousands of (well-used) portable generators and sheets of plywood eventually worked their ways back to HQ. that and a little managerial idiocy ran them into the dirt.

Oooh sorry to hear that, Leaky…

OK, I’ll try to behave. No promises, OK?

You just gotta get Marg to stay out of trouble so you can stay home.

She’s never had a Pennys moment so I guess jail doesn’t count ;)

Dave, you’re still a kid only cos I’ve gone over the next bump, so to speak, and not to mention numbers.

I’m still a boomer….. by the skin of my teeth.

Um…. I think maybe you missed that Grog said “she” didn’t get the message, not “he”.

    Hence a misunderstanding.

Easy enough when it’s late, which I understand cos I comment a lot at 1 and 2 am.

And GymShoe…. that’s not so bad. Burl would have figured out a way to keep it… and charge it to U-Stor…….. LOL

As we are commenting about age, I may be among the eldest here, and after having some of my 4 kids forget to call me on my 70th, I have been reminding them that I will be 3/4 century next year, but now they want to make a big deal of it (I like just a phone call and leave me to watch my TV shows), but if they want to do something, I gave it some thought: I’d love a nice evening and they could fly my BF here from Chicago and we could attend the opera and have a nice late dinner across the street; and if a comic opera is playing they all might want to come. My second choice would be a great spa day with plenty of attention to my feet and a good back massage (never went to one and have done my own hair and nails most of my life).
