That’s one way to recycle icicles.

This is an old gag for cat owners, which is why we haven’t put tinsel on a tree in nearly 40 years. I’ll spare the details.

Are we sure that Poncho didn’t plant it there to cover up his fun?

Wait until they start running through the house with icicles hanging out their butt…

    Been there. Done that.

my vet always said not to put tinsel on trees. if eaten it could get wrapped around their intestines, and kill them.

Haven’t seen icicles for years. They still use them on trees?

The word on the boxes is ICICLES, not tinsel

And, you’re supposed to hang it one strand at a time, not by the handful. My parents were savers. The only thing worse than hanging tinsel/icicles one strand at a time was picking it back off for next year’s tree.

Got tired of screwing with tinsel years ago! Now that I have some rescue kittens running about, I’m very glad I did. My dogs never bothered the tree, except for an occasional tail wag that would knock off an ornament! LOL!

The original icicles were made of lead. They hung on the tree better, but what they did to the cats and kids…

I remember back when I was a kid and we put tinsel on the tree. I hated it. I’d get told to put the tinsel on the tree and then they’d tell me to do it strand by strand so it looks good. So I’d throw it at the tree. Tinsel is stupid garbage. And yes, it is bad for the cats. It wasn’t until I caught a cat trying to eat it that I was able to convince my family to give the @#$ up.
