To foof or not to foof is NOT the question, Eldo. Lucretia’s old haircut was a perfect, featureless sphere, nearly Platonic in its geometry. So smooth, so round, so fully-packed.Hypnotizing…

This new hairstyle looks like the capital of a Corinthian column;it suggests a decadent age of Glory-gone-to-seed.

Ahh, Lucretia, Lucretia… Où sont les coiffures d’antan?

Long and straight is good, but although I might have some general preferences about a woman’s hair it’s hardly the first or most important thing I notice. For me, Lucretia’s hair was perfect for Lucretia. But then I’m definitely fond of pixie cuts, and Lucretia’s hair was like a pixie cut inflated to the point of bursting. Lucretia is “pneumatic.” Were I ever fortunate enough to touch Lucretia’s hair, I’d imagine that it would yield beneath my hand like the skin of a blimp, soft yet firm, springing back into shape as I withdrew.

I don’t think it’s bad at all! It’s a little poofy/curly for my taste, but I think it’s rather nice. If she hates it that much, she can just wet it down, blow it out and style it up. Easy peasy!
