Hopefully, you’ll know better next time, Louie. There’s not enough speed stick in the world to mask that smell.

    Good Morning, Crew!

My neighbors had BOTH of their Scotties encounter a skunk last summer. I was up early working on something and the smell just came right inside our basement. Blech.

    Happy New Year!

I don’t mind the skunk smell that much. I’ve seen a few in the wild, including a very young one that I got to within about a foot away from who didn’t even try to spray me. Probably couldn’t yet. It seemed more curious than afraid.

OK, Nate. Now YOU need to get some tomato juice, or other deodorizer, and wash yourself and your clothes. Maybe even soak over night… You’ll feel better, and you’ll be getting a couple of days worth of veggie’s, too.

When my wife and I are out walking the dog at night and we come across a skunk we always make lots of noise to let it know that we are near. It never bothers us as long as we warn it of our presence. However skunks do not like the element of surprise—they raise quite a stink over that! :)

Reasons number 1-10 why you don’t say hi to skunks: they spray and you stink.
