I’m glad LIttle Muttley Beagle is here waiting for me when I get off my overnight shift. Happiness is a warm puppy indeed. And a lick on my nose. Life is good, no matter how bad it was overnight.
In my 9th grade Latin class, one of my classmates translated Et tu, Brute as The Romans are attacking the city. For some reason, that remains in my mind, 50 years later.
Antiquis temporibus, nati tibi similes in rupibus ventosissimis exponebantur ad necem – In the good old days, children like you were left to perish on windswept crags
Don’t use online translators! They are very wrong and with a highly inflected language such as Latin, the computer is not able (yet) to put the right case on the word.

I like it that this many people here actually know enough Latin to make jokes in it! We’re a cultured and sophisticated bunch. Gaude!

I’m so glad none of you has a life to get back to. Just think how much I’d miss if you all weren’t here.

So glad they kept the title of the comic as “Peanuts” in
English today..I used to read a San Luis Son, Mexico
newspaper and the title Peanuts was “Cacahuetes”.

(look up Yuni’s Latin Mottos and Phrases on the Web, some of the above may be there – that’s where I got my comment on, er, Lucy’s usual behavior)

How about this:
“Happiness is simply speaking English!”:-)

If Snoopy hugged Lucy unbidden he might get a beating! That’s probably the affection quota from Lucy for the year.
