I’ve entertained this idea before. I’d wished my high school had a ballroom as a lunch hangout spot as an alternative to the quiet ol’ library.

That’s why it’s called BALLROOM rather than “Dancing With the Stars”.

The little fence in panel one was intended as a series of wire loops. I remember seeing those in my childhood in the 70s—upside down wire Us welded together in twos and threes and used as edging between the lawn and flowerbeds.

Our colorist has decided to render them as a very short wooden fence.

Maybe she should ask Schroder, he might be interested in playing Beethoven at the ball and she can stare at him instead of dance

…that’s why a dancing master was an integral part of a young lady’s education – hopefully for teaching dancing, of course…
