Susan, I understand your comment, really. It’s just that when people are depersonalized, it’s easy to not seem them as, well, persons. I’m old enough to remember terms like “kill ratio”. It’s just as I said, you were available. It wouldn’t hurt any of us to think about the faces behind the words, right, PsychoDad?
And when you are done with it, you put out in your yard and decorate it with food for the birds. It also provides shelter for them and other critters in the cold winter.
I keep hearing comments about “there’s nothing like a real tree”, Dry ;). Maybe it’s because we always had artificial trees growing up, but I thought they worked wonderfully! The only thing that stunk were those weird clear beads :P. Just seems like a waste to cut down an entire tree just for Christmas. (Though putting it in the yard and decorating it with bird seed is a good idea.) Still…kind of a waste to me.

i prefer the stars “before makeup” pictures, they look more attainable. Notice i said “more attainable”, not “attainable”. i know my limitations.

Thanks!“The Washington Pose” and “The Seattle Post Intelligencer” also have a lot of the same comics, although they don’t have comments at all.

Plastic Christmas trees are disgusting, IMHO. Give me a real tree anyday!
