Adam Smith Burl aināt, nor Dale Carnegie either! Rusty/Leaky (?), I have to agree with you, for the Pennys to have a loan officer that will actually talk with them shakes my confidence in the system.
āCredit is just a nice word banks use for Debt.ā Couldnāt agree more. Anyone that carries a balance on their card and canāt clear the account at the end of every billing cycle is financially irresponsible (read: a fool). It fits the Pennys.
I see Burl is wearing a different/new watch, too, or is that still the extra fast Timex? I canāt say much about finances, thoā; Always hated dealing with them (I grew up in a generation where we expected to just put the money in the bank and let it grow, and savings for retirement only went up, not down and you could generally spend them or not when you chose.
Good morning Marg, Mikie2, RayC, Susan, Leaky, Grogg and all you other Crustwoodieans.
That is the way to do it, insult someone and call them a moron and then ask them to make a decission that will affect you and their job. Why not throw in some expletives about his mother while you are at it?
Funny, I am in the process of reading Steve Jobsā biography and he often worked that way. He would go to a job interview and insult the interviewer, sometimes while barefoot and need of a bath. Yet somehow he would land the job. Myself, one Freudeon slip would end my chances. Ah, but it comes so easy for Burl!
Morning all Crustwoodians. Thought yesterday that Rusty was Leakyā¦ā¦. Nice to have you back.. Shhhhhhhhhhhhh Your secret identity is safe with meā¦ā¦..

Gāmorning, Rusty, Marg, Finale, Purple Sky and everybody in Crustwood.
Yeah, always a good idea to borrow against your house to buy miniature nativity scenes and new cars.
At least, Iām guessing their āline of creditā would be an equity line. Donāt know what other kind they could get from a bank.
They were high school sweethearts, from the pictures weāve seen.
Probably bought their house in the 70ās, and have added to their debt on it in every decade. Free money, right?
Interest and economic downturns are beyond their understanding ā¦. just like saving for the future.
āPrice new carsVerses used.āUmā¦. poetry in motion?

After seeing the misery people foist upon themselves, it makes me even more determined to stay debt-free. Ugh.
